Travelling to Granada

 How to get to Granada by plane: 

Granada airport is 12km from the city center. On arrival there are bus or taxi service which takes you to the centre of Granada.

Malaga airport on the Costa del Sol is about 130 km from Granada and is connected to most of the major European cities by daily flights. Participants arriving at Malaga airport should take the shuttle bus to Malaga city and get off at the coach station (Estación de Autobuses, Paseo de los Tilos), where they can take the coach to Granada.

How to get to Granada by train: 
The Granada train station is fairly central and is in Avenida de Andaluces off Avenida de la constitución. The train "Talgo" takes about 5 and a half hours from Madrid. Seville is 4 hours by train. Most people choose the bus rather than the train when coming from Malaga or Almeria. RENFE have a good web site giving full information.

How to get to Granada by bus: 
There are many buses each day to and from the other large Spanish cities. The main bus company in Andalucía is Alsa. The Granada bus station is slightly out of town and you will need to get a taxi or a bus to get to the centre.
